Like everyone else, life has thrown me the odd curve ball and at these times I have experienced extreme highs and lows. I know for sure the highs have come when my attitude has been more positive and accepting of the situation.
As a woman living with Alopecia for fifteen years, and anyone who has suffered hair loss will know, it can knock your confidence so hard, especially in a society where your hair is considered part of your beauty.
Today I embrace my ‘bald head’ status and support women to ‘Rock their Natural Beauty with Confidence’ and to make the best of themselves in the here and now.
I come from a background of more than 20 years in Training & Personal Development, Women’s Motivational Coaching, Academic Coaching and Mentoring. I work from a person centred perspective empowering clients to own their experiences and use them as a tool for growth.
As a passionate advocate for women’s health and wellbeing and a broadcaster on women’s issues on The Aprils Dawn Show with N-Live Radio Northampton, I am consistently encouraging women to work on their self-esteem and confidence while living with Alopecia.
